Abstract

The current crisis differs from other crises by its scale, affecting at present a large number of countries. The crisis is a collection of various failures, whose interdependence illustrates the economic and financial degree of globalization in our human society. Therefore, one of the reasons for reaching the saturation of global growth is credit and consumption. Starting from these considerations, the present paper is the result of a research conducted in two regions of Italy and Romania in August 2012-September 2012 period. The main objective is the comparative analysis of consumer behavior in Italy and Romania regarding the economic and financial crisis in order to identify measures and policies to overcome the crisis.
