Abstract

The outcome of the activity of International Chamber of Commerce in Paris is the result of years of effort in bringing together different business practices conducted by merchants. One concern of the Chamber is to provide merchants information on international commercial usages. These legal rules ordered, grouped in legal institutions allow merchants to extend and improve their contractual relations while contributing to the adjustment of legal instruments to the new requirements of international trade. The study outlines the latest achievements of the Chamber in the coding process, aiming to help the Romanian professionals to facilitate and simplify their business activity and to provide the legal framework necessary for a modern retail development, given their voluntary application, the trader being in the situation of choosing one or the other proposed options.
