Abstract

This article represents a manifest point of view with regard to the need to adopt the ethical audit in assessing the performance of the hospital unit in Romania, in the context of the accreditation and of the increasing pressure of the internal and external stakeholders for transparency, ethical and responsible behavior in assuming and fulfilling the mission. In support of the arguments, there is an overview of the opinions of several authors found in the profile specialty literature, but also of the research carried out at international and national level on this topic.
