Abstract

In this article, the writers estimated some parameters of demand for food using the system of equations. By using Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS), they concluded that the farming system and the class of expenditure related to the consumption pattern. The writers showed that prices and consumption elasticity of rice, second crop (palawija) and, meat and fish are lower than vegetables, fruits and other food. They also showed that food consumption is more sensitive to the changes of rice price than other foods.
