Abstract

One basic tool for the analysis of the price of urban land is its distance from the central business district. In order to estimate this relationship it is usual to construct base period estimates and to project them forward to compare with the actual prices measured in a second (later) stage of the project. This article demonstrates a better method in which one can estimate separately the price distance relationship in each period of the study. It is applied to the case of Medellin.
