Abstract

A tanulmány tárgya a profit, nevezetesen a bruttó profit képződésének mechanizmusa, továbbá e folyamat modellezése. A bruttó profit két fő összetevője a szerző szerint az innovációs, valamint az ún. technológiai profit, amelyeket a piac elsősorban a szélesebb értelemben vett természetes monopóliumok hatására ismer el az árakban. Az alapvető profitmeghatározó tényezők a tőkeállomány (állótőke), a kutatófejlesztő specialisták, az összes dolgozók száma, továbbá a munkamennyiség (munkaórában). A tanulmányban ismertetésre kerülő profitfüggvény elsőfokú homogén. A modell verifikálása ökonometriai módszerekkel történt, öt vezető gazdasági hatalom - az Egyesült Államok, Japán, NSZK, Anglia és Franciaország - ágazati bontású éves adatai (1951-1992) felhasználásával.
