Abstract

Az információgazdaság civil szektora és nonprofit működésmódja eddig még nem került reflektorfénybe. Márpedig nem kell nagy felfedezőnek lenni ahhoz, hogy észrevegyük: nemcsak e-business és e-kormányzat létezik, hanem megjelentek már a különleges, gyakran új típusú nonprofit intézmények is. Ezek a virtuális civil struktúrák függetlenek az állami költségvetési szervezetektől, és tulajdonosok híján az üzleti világba sem sorolhatók. A szerző megmutatja, hogy az e-civilisztika, vagyis a kibertér civil arcának kutatása önálló fogalmi innovációval szolgál, mert a világhálón számos olyan - bármiféle program híján - természet adta módon kialakult intézmény, fogalom és jellegzetesség vert már véglegesnek tekinthető gyökeret, amely világosan nem sorolható be sem az állami, sem pedig a vállalati szféra egyikébe sem.
