Abstract

A szerző részletesebb kép felvázolását kísérli meg a piac és az iskola viszonyait illetően, beleértve a főiskolákat és az egyetemeket. A legfontosabb megoldásra váró kérdés abból a fölületes azonosításból származik, amely a diákot állítólagos fogyasztónak, a tanárát, professzorát pedig egyszerű szolgáltató alkalmazottnak tekinti. A szerepeknek ez a megosztása bizonyos viselkedésmódokat ír elő mind a diák, mind a professzor számára. Ezek nem fogadhatók el a sikeres oktatási folyamat szempontjából. E helyett a tárgyunkat nagyon körültekintően megközelítve, célszerű szem előtt tartani bármely oktatási forma és típus három legfontosabb funkcióját: a diákok felkészítését a munkaerőpiacon való sikeres szereplésre, a diák személyiségének fejlesztését és végül a fiatalabb generációk szocializációját. Bár e három funkció szorosan kapcsolódik egymáshoz, a piaci modellek eltérnek egymástól e funkciók tekintetében. Hogy a tényállás még bonyolultabb legyen, a fönt említett funkciók állandóan váltakoznak egyik fölcseréli a másikat az oktatási folyamatban. Ez a körülmény sokkal finomabb gazdasági elemzést igényel. Ami az oktatási folyamat szereplőit illeti, kívánatos lenne mind a diákokat, mind pedig a tanárokat előre felkészíteni az iskolákban, főiskolákon és az egyetemeken általuk betöltendő szerepükre.
