Welche Kompetenzen sind am wichtigsten und wo können sie am besten erworben werden?

Abstract

The KOF Swiss Economic Institute has conducted a first survey among business students at Colleges of Professional Education and Training and the employers of the students in autumnwinter 2014. The survey allows to characterize the students, their employers and the studies. Furthermore, the survey contains detailed information regarding the relevance and competence level of a broad range of competences. This shows how relevant these competences are and where students identify a deficit. The study further shows to what extent these competences can be learned at school or in the workplace. Hence, the study not only allows to optimize the curriculum, but also provides valuable information to education policy makers and human resource managers regarding the optimal learning place. The yearly survey further provides information regarding the development over time.
