Effect Of Social Environment And Personality Traits On Entrepreneurship Tendencies Of Students: An Application In Foundation University

Abstract

The aim of this study, which is an exploratory research, is to determine the effects of social environment and personality traits of university students on entrepreneurship tendencies. The universe of the research is comprised of all university students. The sample of thestudy consists of students enrolled at a foundation university. A questionnaire including the questions about the social environment and personality traits of university students and their entrepreneurship tendencies are applied. The data, collected by 130 questionnaires with complete and sufficient content, were analyzed and interpreted. As a result of the analysis, it has been seen that there is a positive relationship between risk taking propensity, the need for achievement, innovativeness and the entrepreneurship tendency.
