Abstract

In general, operation research to solve real problem, it does not intend to reach ideal, it aims to reach better decision according to the values and inferences and use system approach to find solution to the problem. In this study, system thinking is intended to explain. System thinking considers problem from a holistic perspective. Considering all the aspects and all relationships between components for solving problem constitutes system thinking. Systems thinking are a management discipline that concerns an understanding of a system by examining the linkages and interactions between the components that comprise the entirety of that defined system. So many problems that plagues today are complex, includes many actor. Dealing with such problem is difficult and traditional solution is getting more difficult problem in future. So system thinking is to seeing big picture. By seeing big picture it is possible to think of new possibilities that did not come up with previously. It can be said that in future system approach help decision makers to design and develop system.
