Dynamique de l’inclusion financière et développement agricole dans les pays de l’UEMOA

Abstract

Objectif : Cet article analyse l’impact de l’inclusion financière sur le développement agricole dans les pays de l’UEMOA. Méthodologie : Elle s’appuie sur des estimations économétriques sur un échantillon de huit (08) pays (UEMOA) sur la période 2000 – 2020, avec l’approche GMM en système de Blundell et Bond (1998). Résultats : Les résultats des estimations montrent que l’inclusion financière par l’utilisation des services de microfinance affecte positivement le développement agricole. Cependant, l’utilisation des services bancaires n’a pas d’effet significatif sur le développement agricole. Originalité de l’article : L’article renforce la littérature sur la relation inclusion financière et développement agricole dans l’UEMOA. En effet, il n’y existe quasiment pas de travaux sur les effets de l’inclusion financière sur le développement agricole, avec comme proxy l’indice de production agricole. L’article recommande aux décideurs la nécessité de mettre en place des mécanismes d’accompagnement de libéralisation des services financiers et de renforcement des fonds de garantie accessibles et fonctionnels pour faciliter l’accès des paysans au crédit.
