New Programs In Support Of Smes In Bulgaria In Response To The Coronavirus Crisis

Abstract

The main objective of the paper is to analyze the new programs in support of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Bulgaria in response to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020-2021. These programs are mainly aimed at supporting employment in SMEs. The study examines the following main programs in support of SMEs in Bulgaria: 1/ Measure “60/40” to maintain employment and measure “80/20”; 2/ Measure to maintain employment in the following economic sectors “Accommodation and food service activities”, “Transportation and storage” and “Tourism”; 3/ Grants for SMEs, including for micro- and small enterprises and for medium-sized enterprises. The research methodology includes theoretical and methodological analysis, comparative study, systematic analysis, inductive and deductive approach, descriptive study and critical analysis. The paper concludes with summarizing the results from the study.
