Abstract

This article aims, meet the economic and ecological impacts posed by the use of oxobiodegradables additives in the production of plastic containers in Mexico. The period covered by this investigation (2005 to 2009), was selected using as criteria, that were consistent with data reported by the System of National Accounts and data from the System of Economic and Ecological our country. The economic impact was calculated the Ecological Net Domestic Product, using as a tool for measuring the methodology of the National Institute of Geography and Statistics, where the net domestic product is affected by the costs of degradation caused by the contamination of containers. Calculation was performed by comparing the current situation where no additives are used and the picture with the use of these. Using statistics and calculations obtained was analyzed at company level and the economic benefits of the ecological environment, arguing that if we can implement this technology in production processes of plastic containers, the results would be more benefits to humans.
