Abstract

In the February (1957) issue of Operations Research , F. Virginia Rohde presented an extensive bibliography on linear programming. In my class on “advanced techniques in scientific management,” I also had compiled a list of books and articles on the general subject of mathematical programming. The following bibliography contains over 190 items not included in Rohde's paper. Needless to say, certain significant omissions from the pre-1957 literature have still probably been overlooked.
