Abstract

In reply to a recent commentary on the paper, “Direct Use of Extremal Principles in Solving Certain Optimizing Problems Involving Inequalities,” which appeared in the May, 1955 issue of this Journal (p. 168), the author wishes to make some remarks. Operations Research , ISSN 0030-364X, was published as Journal of the Operations Research Society of America from 1952 to 1955 under ISSN 0096-3984.
