Abstract

The abstract of S.N.N. Pandit's paper [ Opns Res. 10 , 639--646 (1962)] makes a reference to a bracketing bound technique, while the paper does not present the technique. The original version of the paper did include this technique but considerations of space forced the omission of the relevant sections of the paper. By oversight, corresponding modifications were not carried out in the abstract. The numerical illustration is condensed and an explanatory foot note, referred to on page 642, is also omitted. The author regrets these errors and wishes to refer the readers interested in the bracketing bound technique to a forthcoming paper, “An Enumerational Approach to Integer Programming Problems.”
