Research on State-Owned Enterprises---Introduction

Abstract

The editorial policy of the department on "Organization Analysis, Performance and Design" encompasses research on the subject of State-Owned Enterprises. The paper "Managerial Strategic Behavior in State-Owned Enterprises-Business and Political Orientations" by Dr. Zif, of Tel Aviv University follows, and in the research Note "Performance Evaluation of State-Owned Enterprises: A Process Perspective," which follows, Professor Aharoni presents the case for conducting research on Stage-Owned Enterprises illustrating the complexity of the various problems and their importance. It is hoped that other research will follow.
