Chapter and College News---Proposed New College on the Management of Technological Change

Abstract

All those interested in becoming members of a proposed new College on the Management of Technological Change are invited to send a card to the undersigned.The basic objective of the College would be to provide an organized focus within TIMS to encourage the development, presentation, and discussion of concepts, measures, and analytical models as well as empirical studies concerned with managerial aspects of technological changes, including: (a) the evaluation of innovational proposals at successive stages of development, (b) the determinants of adoption decisions as well as of diffusion rates, (c) the appraisal of short- and long-term economic and social effects of various kinds of technologically-rooted innovations, (d) approaches to forecasting and guiding future technological advances, (e) the integration of technological development programs into broader corporate and governmental policies.
