Timetabling in Germany---A Survey

Abstract

For about 25 years, attempts have been made to schedule classes and meetings (to timetable ) by computer. In Germany, many programs have been developed, and during the last 12 years several programs for mainframe computers have been used on a large scale. During the last five years, more and more schools are using microcomputers to produce their timetables.
