Ambalaj atıklarında tersine lojistik: Bir simülasyon modeli uygulaması

Abstract

Dünya nüfusunun giderek artması, tüketim alışkanlıklarının değişmesi ve ihtiyaçların karşılanması için üretim hacminin büyümesi ve buna bağlı olarak da doğal kaynakların tükenmesine sebep olmaktadır. Hükümet yetkililerini ve tüketicileri endişelendiren bu durum, işletmeleri çevreye en az zararı veren, geri dönüştürülebilir ve yeniden kullanılabilir ürünler üreterek çevre dostu faaliyette bulunmaya zorlamaktadır. Bu durumun üstesinden gelmek isteyen işletmeler tersine lojistik faaliyetlerine önem vermeye başlamışlardır. Buna paralel olarak tersine lojistik alanında yapılan çalışmaların yıllara göre arttığı gözlenmektedir. Bu çalışmada, ambalaj atığı toplama ve ayırma lisansına sahip bir işletmenin var olan tersine lojistik ağı incelenmiş ve Arena® Simülasyon Paket programı ile bir simülasyon modeli geliştirilmiştir. İşletmenin mevcut ağının daha verimli nasıl çalışabileceği konusunda önerilerde bulunmak için 4 farklı senaryo denenmiştir. Modelden elde edilen sonuçlara göre senaryolar birbirleriyle karşılaştırılmış ve verimliliği arttıracak en uygun atık toplama stratejisi belirlenmiştir.
