    Abstract

    Bilimsel çalışmalar, kadınların erkeklerden daha fazla riskten kaçındıklarını göstermektedir. Finansal risk alma davranışları konusunda yapılan araştırmalar ise, cinsiyet değişkenine ilişkin farklı sonuçlar ortaya koymaktadır. Türkiye’de yapılan ilk davranışsal finans araştırmalarından biri olan bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’deki banka ve aracı kurumlarda çalışan kadın ve erkek yatırım danışmanları arasındaki risk algılama farklılıklarını ve bu farklılıkları kadın ve erkek müşterilere verdikleri hizmete yansıtma biçimlerini incelemektir. Araştırmada anket tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmada, yatırımların kazanma ve kaybetme olasılıkları ile finansal varlıklar hakkındaki bilginin güvenilirliğinin kadın yatırım danışmanları tarafından daha fazla önemsendiği görülmektedir. Ankette oluşturulan hipotetik senaryolara önerilen portföyler incelendiğinde, kadın ve erkek yatırım danışmanlarının risk düzeyleri eşit olan yatırımcılara, cinsiyetlerine göre farklı portföyler oluşturdukları saptanmıştır
