Türkiye’deki uluslararası ortaklıklarda sahiplik yapısı ve performans

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’de kurulmuş olan uluslararası ortaklıklarda sahiplik yapısı ile performans arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Ortaklar arasında eşit pay dağılımı olması çeşitli avantajlar sunmasına rağmen, genellikle karar verme sürecini yavaşlatmakta ve güçleştirmektedir. Bu nedenle, özellikle değişim hızı ve belirsizliğin yüksek olduğu gelişmekte olan ülkelerde, ortaklardan birinin diğerinden daha çok paya sahip olarak, karar verme sürecinde son söz hakkına sahip olmasının, performansı olumlu etkileyeceği düşünülmektedir. Performans değerlendirmesinin birden fazla ölçüt kullanılarak detaylandırılması, bu çalışmanın ayırıcı bir özelliğini oluşturmaktadır. Performans ölçümünde, uluslararası ortaklığa ait finansal oranlar, yerel ortağın ortaklıktan elde ettiği ekonomik kazanımlar ve yine yerel ortağın uluslararası ortaklık kurma amaçlarını gerçekleştirme derecesi kullanılmaktadır. Böylece ulaşılamaması nedeniyle az kullanılan finansal oranlar kullanılmakta ve yazında ihmal edilen yerel ortağın görüş açısı yansıtılmaktadır. Çalışma, Türkiye’de sahiplik yapısı-performans ilişkisini inceleyen ilk çalışma olması nedeniyle de literatüre katkıda bulunmaktadır. Bulgular, ortaklar arasındaki pay farkı arttıkça gerek oranlar ile ölçülen finansal performansın gerekse amaç gerçekleştirme performansının iyileştiğini göstermektedir
