Bu çalışma Türkiye’yi doğrudan veya dolaylı olarak ilgilendiren terör olayları ve benzeri olumsuz gelişmelerin turizm peformansına etkilerini incelemektedir. Türkiye turizminin yapısına ve dinamiklerine ilişkin grafiksel incelemeler, terör ve benzeri olumsuz gelişmelere sahne olan yıllarda turistik amaçlı ziyaretçi sayısının ve turizm gelirlerinin büyüme oranlarında dikkate değer derecede kendini gösteren bir durgunluğa işaret etmektedir. Bu saptamalar basit bir ekonometrik çerçeve içinde de desteklenir niteliktedir.
