Abstract

Makale, 1994 ve 2001 krizleri öncesinde oluşmuş olan iktisadi ortamı yaratan kriz dinamiklerini incelemektedir. KKBG, borç servis oranı; yüksek enflasyon; enflasyonun ve finans ve döviz piyasalarındaki yüksek amplitüdlü salınımların yarattığı belirsizliğe bağlı olarak TL cinsinden borç stokunun ortalama vadesinin kısa, risk primleri ve faiz oranlarının yüksek olması gibi iç-tasarruf açığına ilişkin makro değişkenler ile; bunların faiz/kur makası vasıtasıyla reel-kur endeksi ve cari işlemler açığı gibi değişkenler ile olan etkileşimlerinin analizini yapan yazarlar, bütçe açıkları ve KKBG düşürülemedikçe, makalede analizi yapılan dinamiklerin yakınca bir vadede yeniden sürdürülemez boyutlarda bir cari işlemler açığına yol açabileceğini ve böylece “mahalli paraya saldırı” için gerekli koşulları ileride yeniden yaratabileceğine işaret etmektedirler.
