Abstract

Bu çalışmada, örgütlerde TKY'nin güçlü bir yönetim yaklaşımı ve örgüt kültürü olmadan gerçekleştirilemeyeceğini vurgulanması amaçlanmaktadır. Öte yandan, etkin liderliğin bilinmediği bir örgütte Toplam Kalite Yönetiminden de söz edilememektedir. Çünkü TKY bir yöntem ya da programın ötesinde sisteme ait herkesin - lider, iş gören ve müşteri- paylaşması gereken bir davranış, bir yönetim anlayışı ve kültür biçimidir. Bunun için de etkin liderlik de bir zarurettir. Lider kendi davranışları ile örnek olacak, ilgi alanları ile önceliklerini açıkça belirtecektir. Kültürün değişmesi lider ile başlar. Lider değişmezse kimse değişmez. Bundan dolayı B atı ve Japon liderlik yaklaşımları da farklılık arz eder.
