Recent Developments In The Global Telecommunications Services Market

Abstract

This article analyzes several recent and future developments in the global telecommunicationsservices market from the perspective of the main companies that are active in this field.Telecommunications are one of the most dynamic knowledge-intensive business services categories,which explains the attention they are currently receiving as a major ingredient in the process ofcontemporary growth and economic development, both in developed and emerging countries. Thefindings of the article reveal that telecommunications operators have to adapt to market changes bymatching new user requirements. The development of voice and text applications has redefined themarket over the last decade, forcing operators to make major investments driven by 5G technologyand vertical integration.
