Coherence estimation – a tool for selecting SAR images suitable for interferometry application

Abstract

In the context of local and global development, monitoring the environment and finding solutions for overcoming the environmental challenges are of big importance and brings a lot of socio-economic benefits. The aim of this paper is to present the usefulness of synthetic aperture radar interferometry (InSAR) in monitoring the changes occurred in time at ground level and in land cover and to analyze the effects of a series of parameters on the quality of the final product.
