Abstract

Based on a specialized bibliography, the paper highlights the basics of the global corn market trends in 2016 and the prospects for 2017-2018 and is structured on subchapters according to the indicator under review. The first subchapter shows the dynamics of corn quotations traded on the most representative world agricultural stock exchange (Chicago) for the international grain market during the year 2016. The exposure also includes an analysis of the fundamental factors of the maize market in the last three agricultural seasons worldwide and in each of the main producing, exporting, exporting and/or importing country. The article ends with an examination of key indicators over the 2017-2018 outlook, according to the statistics of the United States Department of Agriculture.
