Abstract

The Czech Republic is an EU member state since 2004. In 2012 and 2013, the Czech economy experienced an economic downturn due to an unfavorable economic climate corroborate with the diminishing of external demand on its main export markets, but also in the context of the sovereign debt crisis . In 2014, according to the latest forecasts of the European Commission, Czech Republic (that is considered together with Poland part of the so-called “emerging Europe†) could meet, ten years after its accession, the favorable conditions for a sustainable economic recovery as a result both of its export boom and growth of automotive industry production.
