Abstract

The article presents the economic outlook for Italy (2011) and the main factors that influences the economic prospects for Italy in the following years: sovereign debt crisis of EU and Eurozone; the Italian governments’ austerity plans; Italy’s contributions to the so called “Eurozone firewall†etc. The economic prospects for 2012 remain unfavorable for Italy, given the deterioration of Italy’ prospects for financing, internally and externally, its increasing sovereign debt.
