Quince años de suburbanización en la Barcelona metropolitana, ¿se está dispersando la población?

Abstract

Diferentes estudios muestran que la estructura espacial de las ciudades genera diferentes efectos económicos, medioambientales y sociales. Maximizar los positivos y minimizar los negativos requiere de un estudio exhaustivo de la forma urbana. Centrado en el caso de la Región Metropolitana de Barcelona (RMB) entre 1991 y 2005, en este trabajo se lleva a cabo un análisis estático y dinámico de su estructura espacial con el objetivo de caracterizar el proceso de suburbanización de su población. En última instancia, se trata de analizar el impacto espacial de los cambios más recientes en la localización de la población de la RMB.
