Reengineering the supply chain in the internet age: ABB Turkey Inc

Abstract

This case aims to survey the effect on logistic and supply chain management of the internet age and current technologic opportunities and to report the benefits which the companies can gain after reengineering by electronic business. And, the supply chain management of ABB Turkey Inc. is examined and then the pros and cons of the existing system are analysed and finally necessary improvements are suggested at the end of paper. The simulation of the suggested system is executed and the results are compared with the existing system. In this paper, the present situation of the supply chain of ABB-Turkey is investigated and modelled by using Vensim Simulation Software This case study or this model can finally customise for the other companies, which needs web-based reengineering.
