Abstract

Nowadays, it is critical that the collaboration philosophy is needed to be applied for a firm to enhance its competitive edge and achieve sustainable growth. Nonetheless, many researches have been conducted over a few decades in the collaboration area; there remains a lack of consideration in collaboration factor for product development projects selection with supply chain integration, both in academic and practical areas. Fuzzy hybrid multi-criteria decision making of rubric score assessment with multiple linear regression and fuzzy Delphi method in negative knowledge approach of the new product development process were newly integrated into the conceptualisation to be researched here by means of a case study in the petrochemical sector with original theory building. The highlights of the research elucidate a new facet of collaborative product development to significantly contribute to academic study and practical implication.
