Abstract

There is a great necessity for better management techniques. Executives need to identify the metrics that drive the company and need ways to analyse these metrics. Decision making needs to be aided with facts, accurate performance measures and tools that help them to have constant access to the data. Balanced scorecards help to streamline the thoughts and processes of a company but currently take a lot of time and effort to implement. The Graphical User Interface for a Decision Engine (GUIDE) is a tool that simplifies the process of metric selection for a scorecard and helps develop the scorecard over the internet. The GUIDE is a universal tool that can be used to decide on metrics for any problem by simply adding the widely accepted metrics into its database. The GUIDE has an executive dashboard and a reporting tool that helps decision makers to analyse and distribute the data, thus helping them make informed decisions.
