The actorhood of organisational capital

Abstract

This paper argues and illustrates that organisational capital is much more active than normally assumed. Often, it is suggested the human capital acts and organisational capital is a "dead matter" waiting to be mobilised. In this paper, we investigate how organisational capital is an actor and illustrate through small cases of two kinds of organisational capital – organisational culture and IT tool – how organisational capital problematises, interests, enrolls and mobilises e.g. human capital.
