Abstract

Scholars and practitioners have emphasised the importance of gaining insights about cultural backgrounds of partners when engaged in a supply chain relationship. Using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modelling (SEM), this study examines the relationship between cultural intelligence (CQ) and supply chain collaboration and its impact on organisational performance. Reliable and valid instruments of three constructs (cultural intelligence proficiency, supply chain collaboration, and firm performance) were developed through rigorous empirical analysis. The results indicate that CQ proficiency enhances managerial performance and significantly improves supply chain collaboration outcomes.
