The political economy of growth and green politics in Ireland

Abstract

The current economic crisis arrived at the end of an extended period of accelerated growth in Ireland. The paper will examine the impact for the Irish Greens, including a discussion of the role of the 'Green Political Economy', in the aftermath of that party's rise to power as junior participants of the current coalition government in the republic.
