Abstract

Information technologyis fundamentally changingtheworld today. The power of technology applicable fastly in Islamic financial technology (i-Fintech),asitexpands access to mobile financial services.This is evidenced by thein creasing numberof customers who interactusing technology, especially micro-entrepreneurs, who adopt the tools in to their business models to tap in to this opportunity to enhance their income. Therefore, it is imperative to examine theim pactofi-fintech use instabilising micro-entrepreneurs’income. A quantitative technique was employed through theuse of 120 question naires distributed to micro-entrepreneurs who had adoptedi-fintechinto their business.Using Amos and SEM models,the study indicates that crowdfunding, mobile money and peer-to-peer lending play asignificant role in ensuring income sustain ability for micro-entrepreneurs. The study also discusses both the theoretical and managerial implications incomprehending the determinants of sustainable income growth inMalaysia. The findings should help practitioners, researchers and regulators to have better understanding of the dynamics between the potential of i-fintechand sustainable income.
