Mexico Businesses And E-Commerce: Sales And Exports Growth, Comercio Electronico Como Estrategia Impulsora De Las Exportaciones En Mexico

Abstract

Due to the growing use of electronic media in the commercial area, and the need for prompt and timely information for making decisions as well as efficient and streamline use of time and resources; New internet business models have been developed. This study involves the analysis of data from 30 e-commerce B2C companies established in Mexico. Data analyzed involves the amount of Internet sales, sales results by sector and geographic distribution of Internet sales. The study also analyzes profitability of investing in e-commerce as a driving strategy of exports in Mexico. The results show that Internet sales for both the domestic and international markets are increasing. New markets are emerging, and the confidence of the Mexican market is consolidating, consequently resulting in an improvement in economic growth and development resulting from the injection of income into the country.
