Abstract

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in companies play a very important role in today's world; They contribute to improving the processes in the organization to achieve a competitive advantage in them. This research aims to identify the influence of Information and Communication Technologies as a competitive advantage in hotels in the municipalities of Cuernavaca, Tepoztlán and Jiutepec in the state of Morelos. The sample was calculated with 95% confidence and the measurement instrument was applied to 72 hotels with integrated services and without integrated services. For data processing, a statistical program was used. The results indicate that ICTs are part of the tools that incorporate the economic units of the sector studied; These hotels have equipment, software and networks to offer good service and attention to guests. Likewise, electronic commerce, the website and social networks are part of the strategies used as a strategy in satisfying customer needs. Finally, hotels that have equipment and incorporate technological tools into their processes have better internal and external communication, simplify management processes and satisfy customer needs.
