Abstract

Several investigations recognize the absence of strategic planning and Transparency in non-profit organizations limits its growth and permanence in the society. The present research examines whether there is a connection between the practice of strategic planning with fundraising and transparency for sustainability of nonprofit organizations located in Coahuila central region state, Mexico. We provide alternatives for strengthening management or improvement in the practice of strategic planning. The methodology consisted on obtaining quantitative information from 37 organizations located in the central region of Coahuila state through a structured Likert scale questionnaire. The questionnaire includes three key variables: Strategic Planning, Transparency and Fundraising. To measure its reliability, a Cronbach Alpha test was used to obtain a coefficient of internal consistency of .903, .970 and .907 respectively which indicates that all of them are reliable
