Abstract

The Mexican government, as a part of its macroeconomic politics, has focused its efforts to strengthen activities such as tourism by including strategies for touristic businesses in both federal and state development plans to support the economy. The MSMEs from Campeche that are related to this activity face the challenge of being a global business and preparing themselves to offer quality services for national and international visitors, with a long-term vision that allows them to remain in the market. This research's main objective is to identify the dimensions of the businesses’ organizational culture, and the mechanisms for its promotion and transmission as an element for competitiveness. This research is descriptive with non-experimental transversal design. The results indicate that an appropriate level of trust is an element of the population's organizational culture under study. However, it is necessary to define the administrative structures in a clearer way to achieve team performance where knowledge is shared at all levels
