Abstract

in Ecuador, in conjunction with the Central Bank of Ecuador, firms are implementing and encouraging new payment systems through electronic money. We use a Scientific Method, based on a mixed quantitative methodology and qualitative information, that allows us to demonstrate the main benefits of implementing the electronic money system on private companies within the country. We examine statistics of behavior and implementation of this system. Implementation in the economy allows us to determent the importance of using electronic money system in recent times. Implementation of the Electronic Money System provides a new payment tool to access multiple benefits for a future economic environment. The benefits include a tax incentive offered to legal and naturalized citizens by the Ecuadorian Government. Results show that companies that use the electronic money have more tax benefits that allow them to be more competitive
