Abstract

Global Competition has intensified rivalry among enterprises and generated high pressure inside companies. This demands abilities to operate effectively and improve customer response. Though work teams present board applications, they also have potential risks and opportunities. The link between organizational factors and work teams is not clearly defined. The objective of this paper is to determine organizational factors impact on work teams’ strategy in maquiladoras de Cd. Juarez, Mexico. We propose the following hypotheses Organizational factors: technological development, information and communication technology, and tools used to develop processes impact on work teams’ strategy in the maquiladora industry. Research was conducted in six companies, with 109 work team members and coordinators. An organizational factors and work team correlation model was generated, and a validated survey was implemented. We conclude there is high correlation among organizational factors and work teams. However, the correlation behaves as a dynamic system where organizational factors impact work teams according to the context
