Abstract

This article seeks to determine modifications and effects derived from the pandemic on daily life and in the teaching-learning process among students and teachers of two educational programs taught at the Universidad Politecnica del Estado de Morelos. Data for the study was obtained through the design and application of two instruments: one for teachers and one for students. The instruments cover various categories, among which the following stand out: family situation, use of technology, teaching-learning process, and socialization and coexistence. Results reflect significant differences in the levels of affectation between the undergraduate and engineering educational programs. A substantial increase was detected in the percentage of students who found it necessary to work to contribute to the family income. The need to redesign the teaching-learning processes to adapt them to the virtual modality was evident.
