High-quality corporate governance is a basic prerequisite for ensuring the integrity and efficiency of the company. The expediency of considering accounting as a social (institutional) practice was grounded, which reflects the existing socio-economic relations and changes that occur around the enterprise's accounting system. The features of the normative regulation of the corporate governance principles in Ukraine were disclosed. Based on the analysis of the relationship between the corporate governance principles G20 / OECD and accounting, the four main directions for further improvement of the accounting (organizational, methodical, technical and technological, theoretical) were identified. It in general will improve the quality of corporate governance in Ukraine.
