Abstract

The article is devoted to study of system of factors which form agrarian sphere specificity and to estimation of their influence on functioning of agriculture in the regions of Ukraine. Specificity is disclosed in development and functioning of regional agrarian sphere in present-day conditions. Efficiency of its functioning is shown to depend on nature of production, geographical location of the region, its natural resource and labor force potential, level of transport and social infrastructure. Analyzed are dynamics of lands under cultivation, yield level of crops, sugar beet and potatoes per regions. Features of labor in agriculture are described. Trends are shown in change of number of operating agricultural companies per organizational and legal forms by regions. Such dynamics reflects today's transformation towards optimization of their number and shows the trend of survival for those agrarian formations only which quickly adapted to market conditions and have flexible organizational structure. The factors are defined which form specificity in development of regional agrarian systems and lead to diversification of their features.
