Beschäftigungsgewinne in Informationsberufen
Abstract
In dem Beitrag wird auf der Basis von Daten der Beschäftigtenstatistik der Bundesanstalt für Arbeit und der IAB/Prognos-Projektionen der Frage nachgegangen, ob und welche informationsnahen Berufe und Sektoren Beschäftigung stabilisieren bzw. ausweiten. Es wird gezeigt, dass sich der Arbeitsmarkt für Computerberufe derzeit positiv entwickelt, nach einer rückläufigen Entwicklung zu Beginn der 90er Jahre. Seit 1995 nahm die Zahl der Erwerbstätigen in den EDV-Berufen kräftig zu und die Zahl der Arbeitslosen ging seit 1997 deutlich zurück. Der Autor sieht unter der Maßgabe, dass die Erstausbildung bei den EDV-Berufen weiterhin nicht genügend Absolventen liefert auch ein Feld für erfolgreiche Arbeitsmarktpolitik. Durch Fortbildung und Umschulung könnten Beschäftigungspotenziale erschlossen werde. Eine differenzierte Analyse zur Entwicklung der Informationsberufe nach Wirtschaftssektoren zeigt allerdings einen Beschäftigungszuwachs von knapp 199.000 lediglich im tertiären Sektor und hier vor allem bei den wirtschaftsbezogenen Dienstleistungen. In allen anderen Bereichen ging die Beschäftigung zurück, so dass die Gesamtbilanz bei den Informationsberufen für den Zeitraum 1995 bis 1998 leicht negativ ist. Die übrigen Berufe - vor allem im Produktionsbereich - weisen allerdings wesentlich höhere Verluste auf. Für die Zukunft erwartet Prognos ein starkes Wachstum bei den Informationsberufen.
