Überlegungen zur formalen und empirischen Bestimmung der Beschäftigungsschwelle

Abstract

"Der Beitrag behandelt im Schwerpunkt die schätztheoretische Problematik bei der Erklärung von Veränderungen der Beschäftigungsschwelle des Wirtschaftswachstums, die durch die Spezifikation bedingt ist. Es wird nachgewiesen, daß neben technischen Fortschritt, Skaleneffekt i.a. auch der Substitutionseffekt, d.h. der Einfluß der Kapitalintensität, explizit erfaßt sein sollte. Schließlich wird anhand von Regressionsschätzungen und Simulationen die empirische Bedeutung exemplarisch ausgewählter Produktivitätsansätze belegt, die Substituierbarkeit der Produktionsfaktoren implizieren und Kapitalintensität bzw. Kapital als zusätzliche eigenständige Erklärungsgrößen enthalten - auch unter Heranziehung der jüngsten IAB/Prognos-Projektionsergebnisse." (Autorenreferat)
